It has been a while since I truly posted anything. So I apologize in advance for this post, it most likely will be long, but none the less things I want to remember.
Anika graduated in June, has been working full time and doing some college. She decided she doesn't want the student loan debts that come with college so she has decided to serve our country. She is enlisting into the ARMY reserves, She will be gone for basic training and job training for 5 months. When she gets back she will enroll in school full time, (GI BILL) and serving her 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks a year. I am so proud of her and her decisions.
Tamisha started her Sophomore year at Taylorsville High School. She loves being involved in school activities. She does the stage crew for the school's assemblies, plays and anything else needing sound and lights. She went to homecoming, and is planning her Sadie Hawkins events coming up this weekend. She is doing really well in high school.
Kyra is now in 9th grade at Eisenhower Junior High School. She is on the Cheer Squad and absolutely loves it. She is on the National Junior Honor Society for her excellence in school. She also does dance at a studio one night a week, keeping up with her schedule is a bit challenging at times. She is such a joy to watch doing her cheer or dance, she is quite talented.
Brooklyn is in the 4th grade this year. She has struggled a little bit in turning in completed, we have had many conversations about this, she is working on it. She does really well in school when it is turned in though. She is still dancing and loves it. This year for the Christmas concert she was asked to be in the directors piece, she is really excited to be in 2 dances at the concert.
Marcus is also in the 4th grade. He does pretty good in school when he puts forth the effort. He just finished his season of baseball. He is becoming quite the little athlete, we all enjoy going to his games and cheering him on. He is starting JR Jazz in a couple of weeks and is excited to go be with his team again.
Then much to our surprise we got a call in May the Marcus and Brooklyn's biological mother had a baby in February. They called to see if we would want to adopt him. Of course I said yes without skipping a beat. We are hoping to finalize the adoption by the end of this year, and he will get his own post at that time when I can say more! But we are excited to have this new little addition to our family. His name is
Braxtyn LaShawn Domgaard- 2-9-11
Our big happy family!
