This morning I drove to the airport and for the first time ever dropped off one of my kids to go on a flight all alone. Anika left this morning to go to basic training for the ARMY reserves. She will be gone for 5 months total.
It's been a very emotional day. I am so proud of her, and this decision she has made. I am sad that she isn't here to talk with and see everyday. But I am so excited for this next chapter in her life!
Anika is a strong girl, I know she will do well! Can't wait to see her at Basic graduation.
